Spring is here and so is Miami Music Week, but it’s still just Wednesday. We’ve got a song for that mood. From Rude Mood Records, the new Caribbean dance music-focused label from Bad Royale, comes a perfectly timed soundtrack from BLAKGOLD, a new tri-national production outfit made up of The Wixard (Jamaica, and Beres Hammond’s daughter), Cylenz (Trinidad) and J Kestler (Canada). The crew, which previously connected with Trinidad’s Olatunji for their debut single “Floor Tom” this time link another inventive soca star in Grenada’s Mr. Killa (of “Rolly Polly” fame), on “Bang it on a Wednesday.” Yeah, we’re not quite sure what the significance of Wednesday is, either, but this track and its accompanying video makes a perfect case for Wednesday as the ideal setting for a sleazy sex romp involving water guns and ski masks. Watch the video below, buy/stream the audio here, and keep up on all things Rude Mood here.
