Direct from Rock City — St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — “Streets Keep Calling” is the first single off USVI reggae ambassador Pressure Busspipe‘s upcoming seventh album, Rebel With A Cause, dropping 11/8 on I Grade/Busspipe Records.
Teaming once more with USVI hitmakers R. City, a/k/a brothers Timo and Theron Thomas, “Streets Keep Calling” blends Pressure and R. City’s conscious, streetwise lyrics with a hard-hitting, hip-hop infused rhythm from producers Zion I Kings.
Rebel with a Cause, the artist’s seventh LP and his second with I Grade Records and the Zion I Kings crew (following 2014’s The Sound), promises to be Pressure’s most eclectic release to date.
In addition to guest appearances from a diverse supporting cast that also includes Redman, Sizzla, Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid and Jah9, the album sees the addition of long-time Chronixx producer Teflon Zincfence to the Zion I Kings fold, adding some harder-edged sounds to Tippy I, Moon and Jah David’s formidable musicianship.
