Nick & Navi Team With Robin Clare For “Bomb” Visuals [Premiere]

Words by LargeUp Crew

Twin sisters Nick & Navi bring us an exclusive first look of their lyric video for “Bomb,” the second single from their upcoming debut EP, Hair Grease and Palm Trees Vol.1., with visuals from illustrator and LargeUp contributor, Robin Clare.

The duo, who hail from the South Side of Chicago by way of Jamaica and currently reside in Los Angeles, connected with producer Brandon “Bcord” Cordoba on the track, a simmering, mid-tempo R&B tune with a sly dose of dancehall attitude. The clip depicts a mixture of bashment and Cali motifs, culminating in a ride out in a “bomb” pink Cadillac.

With lyrics channeling Shabba Ranks’ “Bedroom Bully” and Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam,” “Bomb” follows January’s “Wicked Whine” in the rollout of Hair Grease and Palm Trees Vol.1, due out in August 2020. In the sisters’ own words: “This song feels like a cool breeze on a hot summer’s day, a ‘come through’ anthem for you and bae…”

Can’t say that we disagree. Watch below, and familiarize yourself with Nick & Navi here.
