Abeng, the 2019 album from Walshy Fire, was a landmark project for bringing African and Caribbean sounds together. Tracks like โCall Meโ featuring Mr Eazi and Kranium, and โOutsideโ with Adekunle Gold and Nailah Blackman,ย bridged the gap between afrobeats and dancehall as well as soca.
The Major Lazer MC continues to curate similar collaborations, the latest of which is โConsider IIโ from Del B, Kes, Wizkid and Flavour. The track, which originally appeared on a 2019 mixtape from Nigerian producer/singer Del B featuring just Flavour and Wizkid as โConsider,โ emerges here with a new verse from Kes and a fun lyric video featuring animated versions of each vocalist vying for the same love interest.
Watch the lyric video below, and consider which singer shoots the best shot. For more from Kes, check out the bandโs new live album We Home here.
