It’s “Cyber Monday,” but you won’t have to dig into your pockets for some great Caribbean vibes. This week’s edition of Mixtape Mondays brings you the heat to keep things blazing and the tracks you want to start your week hot!
Kabaka Pyramid x Federation Sound – Immaculate
This year alone Kabaka Pyramid has released over 25 singles, a testament to the artiste’s impeccable ethic. Now, the lyrical prodigy has linked up with Federation Sound for Immaculate, a pristine presentation of Kabaka’s undiluted fire. The Mixtape Mondays massive will need no introduction to Federation Sound, an East Coast-based entity that continues to collaborate with some of Jamaica’s most profound talents. A clean showcase of Kabaka’s lyrical brilliance, the 27-track mix features collaborations with Damian Marley (“Kontraband Pt. 2”) Runkus (“New Step”), Pressure Busspipe (“Mama Earth”) Medisun and Royal Blu (“Grand Stand”), Dre Island (“Tension”) and Jane Macgizmo, on “Jah Alone,” revealing a brewing synergy between some of Jamaica’s most loved music genres and ones its artists are not yet know for. The tape flows in and out of dub-style selections as Kabaka impeccably shines on every riddim. Stream Immaculate here:
