Writing has always been a constant for Tasha, the Cincinnati girl turned New Yorker turned gypsy. As a writer, Tasha’s exposure varies just as much as her airplane boarding passes. She has worked at a talent booking agency on branding and promotional projects with celebrity djs, DJ Young Guru (Jay Z’s DJ) and DJ LT (Snoop’s DJ), as well as independent New York-based musicians. Tasha also has experience as a social media specialist for an Uptown hair salon/celebrity stylist. After the birth of her son, Harlem, she joined Mommy Noire as a contributor, giving her interesting and unexpected insights as a new mom.

When Tasha is not writing for LargeUp or Mommy Noire, contributing to celebrity brands, or blogging for beauty experts, she’s voicing her opinion about everyday issues on her personal lifestyle blog, My Beautiful Cocoon, which has caught the eyes of Oprah’s producers.

Kayalah

Kaya.lah

Former Kalinago spirit guide & herald of the three rebel queens Mary, Agnes, & Matilda, I carried Buddhoe’s spear. This Senior Editor of CORE Magazine (ex) has bombarded these internets on PleaseDontStare.com and Shot97.com with heavy Creole flavored mortars since 2008.

Claim to fame: I told Buju to stop smoking one time and that did not end well. Instead of harassing good people this Virgin Islands Rock Youth now pushes a global Caribbean platform with LargeUp.com. Venerating these emerald blues and protecting them like a casha bush fence. Come get some, but don’t follow me @kaya_lah
